Supervision is a fundamental part of professional work in the field of mental health and wellbeing. It enables practitioners the opportunity to seek support on the many challenges encountered in supporting those experiencing distress. With the growing awareness in mental health and wellbeing issues in the workplace an increasing number of those in HR/ people management roles are utilising supervision to extend their understanding and seek consultation from a specialist in the area.
Consultative supervision for HR/people managers
We are able to offer consultative supervision sessions to HR and people managers working with employees experiencing mental health difficulties. Each session lasts 50 minutes and is conducted on a one-to the-one basis. The focus of the session will be on the specific challenges and issues faced by the HR/people manager in working with complex mental health needs and their impact in the workplace. While the consultative supervision process does not offer a formal clinical supervisory relationship, it provides a framework for the HR/ people manager to reflect on and develop their work in the mental health and wellbeing field.
